well I used to get a code 43.
well after i hooked up my computer to it. i see that my car gets knocks, but that my computer doesn't pull the timing when it registers the knocks.
well today i changed my ESC module together with my rotor.
looks like i just spilled some good greenies on stuff that didn't work.
still get code 43 and still runs like ****.
I can still place another knock sensor ( altough I'm 90% positive it aint gonna change **** )




does anybody else here has any good idea what can cuse the code 43 how to stop it.
I'm trough with driving with car that drives like **** when it gets hot.
if I can't get it fixed soon I'm parting the car out and bring pieces i can't sell to the crusher.
i'm even thinking about buying a honda civic or so.

 

I think your down to the ECM?..its also possible that the Mem-Cal is faulty have you tried a ECM yet?.Your voltage should be between 4-6 volts from the harness (wire from ECM to Knock sensor) and ground.if its over 6 volts its shorted to voltage and under 4 its shorted to ground..both conditions could also be a faulty ECM ,so I would try that first?.Also when checking the voltage make sure the coolant is above 67 C..if you have to check voltage.

 

well, we found the problem, havent fixed it yet.
it looks like my knock sensor isn't connected.
there isn't even a wire running to the neighberhood of the knocksensor.
so tomorrow we are gonna tke of the starter ( creating a bit more searchroom ) and start looking for a blue wire. if we can't find it i will put a new wire in place. ( knocksensor itself will also be replaced )
