3.4 swap A/C Hookup

For those that have done the 3.4 swap did you hookup the a/c too. I know the lines from teh 3.4 a/c setup are too long and hitup against the frame when you try installing them. So if you did hook up the a/c what was your course of action? I don't think I can foot it through another summer of 100+ degree temps.

Thanks in advance!

The 2.8 lines should fit fine... all you did was swap the shortblock, which is almost identical to the 2.8/3.1.

Which version of the 3.4 swap are you/did you do?

As mentioned, if you just did the longblock swap, ac should not be an issue.

If you did the full wiring/SFI swap. You will be the first in an fbody. I know the threaded connections are different sizes. I'm surprised the pump would clear the cross member. I know it was damn close on my s10, and looked tighter on a camaro.

I didn't do the entire wiring and all but I did use the 3.4 setup with the a/c compressor on the bottom passenger side of the engine. And yes you are right the main line feeding off the back of the compressor hits the cross member so I think I need to make another line. I have a place here that makes hoses and I'm gonna see if they can do some welding for me to make a 90 degree angle coming off that 1 line and then I think I can set it up fine from there. I'll take some pictures tomorrow so you can better see what I'm talking about. I have the lines from the 2.8 and 3.4 setup so I should be able to get something done out of them.
