Spark plug numbers...what side is 1-2-3 n 4-5-6

I had to throw out my car manual the other day since i had a leak in the trunk n it got ruined.

I just need to know what side is 1-2-3 n 4-5-6.

I THINK 1-2-3 is on the passenger side n 4-5-6 is on the driver?

2.8 v6

My 3.1 is 1,3,5 on the pass side and 2,4,6 on the driver's side.

If it's your origional engine, it should be a 3.1 in 1990.

whichever cylinder head is farther forward on the block than the other is where your #1 cylinder is located

this applies to all engines

aso, if you look on the intake runners the cylinder numbers are cast on them near the valve covers, large raised numbers

Should be for our cars. I'm not sure about real early 2.8's.

Either way if you put a 2.8 in yours, yes it's the same. Is your's the origional motor? If so it's a 3.1.
