timing?

how am i to find out my exact timing for my 1991 camaro rs v6 3.1? HAYNES manual says its under my hood, but my hood is not the factory one and I didnt install it so I dont have the old one to know what it says?

you can find out by posting it here and just about everyone will tell you 10 degrees..if its stock.I was running mine at 8 degrees giving me some room with the gas prices.

dont forget to set your timing w/ the EST disconnected, and yes 10 degrees is stock.
