TA Performance? RJC? Cotton?
Ok fellas...I'm pretty much a V8 man only but I have a dead carcass of a 88 Special Apperance Firebird with no engine or tranny(formerly a L03, then a 400). Since I have my LS1 in my 00 T/A and a pretty strong LB9 in my Iroc..I was thinking of changing my route on the V8 deal this time around.
I want to try out a New TA Performance 231 Aluminum block with their new ported heads and such...questions is how are these blocks and I may want it to be a 251 or so so which crank as well. I'm sure i am going to get "hit the serch button" but thought I would take a crack at this. I know junk for V6's. RJC makes nice stuff as well as Cotton, and man Cal Heartline can make Buicks SINNNG! So any ideas on where to start? Thanks peeps oh and it's funny because I've been on this board for 7 years now and never bothered to look V6 stuff up, damn my ignorance.

Actually, we don't get a whole lot of turbo buick motor questions here. Go figure. I usually see them in the engine swap forum or the power adder section. You might talk to KrisW or Sixshooter, they're pretty familiar with the buick v6's.

There are a few guys on here running the GN 3.8s so there should be a few threads around on the subject. Good luck with the project.

Feel free to shoot me a e-mail. I can give you some pointers as I do alot of Hybrids and 82-92 F-Body's.
More information on turbobuick.com or turbobuicks.com in hybrid section if I've not already talked to you on that.
Here's my setup in a 86 Camaro.

Re: TA Performance? RJC? Cotton?
how'd you make the intake tubing to and from the intercooler? it looks really good.
ALOT of cutting and fabricating of mandral bent pipe. It's all welded into the core support.
It just does not make any sense to have radiator heat blowing on pipes your trying to keep cool. That's one of the main reasons I did that and I also wanted to retain the stock hood so blending it into the core support allowed that to happen.
I've got other pictures of the actuall process if your interested.
