Terrible gas mileage

my car has been getting very bad gas mileage just today i burned a quarter of a tank just going to the store, but the car runs perfect and i tuned it up about a month ago could the gauge just be wrong?

Pull a spark plug and see what the electrode looks like..if its black then ..YOur RIch !!!..and not in the money way.

sounds like you have a leak, losen your gas cap or run without and see. Often it starts as a small leak that only happens when the pressure builds inside, Then wont leak when not.

I was told that if your EGR goes out then it seriously affects your gas mileage. That's one of the problems my car is having.
