I have a 1985 Camaro Berlinetta Sport Coupe, 2.8 V6 with a 5 speed , im having ECU difficulties , can anyone tell me the ECU that belongs in my car and as an added bonus can you tell me what a 1890495 ECU goes to? because thats what was in there , and i dont think it belongs , this motor was rebuilt by someone and i am not really sure what they did

I can't tell you EXACTLY what part number is right for your car - but these are all the 1985 2.8 maual tranny ECM's listed in my parts book :
16048558 ( Non-AC - 1st design)
16052056 ( Non-AC - 2nd design)
16052034 ( W-A/C, FED )
16052074 ( Non-AC, CALIF )
NO idea what your existing ECM came from !

The stock ecm is a 1227870, I have no clue what you have in there but it may be a reman. You probably won't be able to find another '870 used, they're fairly rare (and unpopular). You can use a 1227302 from an '86-up 2.8 f-body without problems- the wiring pinout is the same. Might idle high though, that's what happened to me when I was messing around with one.
