V6 Exhaust question

I had to replace everything between my engine and the muffler last year and something don't line up right. Now that I am done with school and have time and money, I would like to find out wtf is going on under there. I installed a new direct fit cat with the proper flanges, and replaced my busted j/y intermediate pipe with a New Walker unit from Advance. Now, something ain't right under there. The intermediate pipe hits the heat shields in the rear as it runs over the rear axle and annoys the crap out of me. I've been wondering for a while now if something's too short under there.

Can someone with a factory stock exhaust (I know there is SOMEONE out there... we don't all have headers and drag pipes ) get under their car and take a measurement of how long their cat is between the y-pipe and intermediate pipe joints, and their intermediate pipe between the cat and the first bend, and the long section as the pipe runs parallel to the driveshaft between the axle bends and the first bend after the cat? I think that the intermediate pipe i bought, which was also supposed to be a direct fit, is about 3" short as it runs parallel to the driveline, throwing everything else off...

Re: V6 Exhaust question

ZZZ. This is kind of a need-to-know-thing. I have all the supplies to do the fitting, i just need to know lengths...

Re: V6 Exhaust question

perhaps the cat was a different length at the rear than the OEM. next time I get out to the farm I'll measure my OEM cat.
