87 2.8 help please
i have a 87 camaro 2.8 i rebuilt the motor becasue i blew it up. i put a new crank in it couldnt be cut down i tore it up too much so i have another crank i put new bearings, oil pump, rings the whole deal and i hand lapped the valves and new valve seals. my problem is that i have it in the car and everything hooked up and dropped the distributer in on top dead center and it will turn over and everything i have fuel i have spark but the thing just wont start. my plugs are gapped right my wires are on right. i put new dizzy modulator and new coil on. i have run out of ideas the only thing i can think of is that there might be a different way to drop in the dizzy then what i did any help would be great thanks

Re: 87 2.8 help please
set the timing 10 degrees btdc and check the injectors. 2.8's don't like starting with out the timing set right. looks like u have to pull the distributor again.
Re: 87 2.8 help please
thanks i have checked the injectors and they are pulseing. you said to put it at 10 degrees but where do i have the rotor point at number one still? i just read in my book that the rotor should between 1 and 6 and i had it pointing at number one not in the middle.
