oil pressure, is this normal???

Today on my commute in to school i noticed while sitting on the exit ramp that my oil pressure needle was bouncing anywhere from 25 to 65 psi,
of course this is a little odd, my engine light came on shortly thereafter. being that everything was running okay i wasn't too alarmed, but this is the second time this has happened to my little 94 3.4 v6. So I would kind of like to find the problem, the first time an oil change did it, but that was too recent for the oil to already have become useless ( last month about Feb 4-5) it does now this is if im recalling correctly have 5w 30 in it, it warmed up outside today(above 40* which for several months has been the high) which may be causing the oil to thin out more than usual. also would overheating (not really "over" heating just running abnormally warm ie: 200-210 range) under this condition indicate anthing that ummmmm....................lets just say might be "expensive"??????????
