2.8 manual flywheel on 3.1 that had an auto tranny
I've looked but im not quite sure. I've had some nasty vibrations and just a short while ago found out that I hadn't installed a pilot bearing on the 3.1. Okay. I did that. But I still had vibrations even after. Then a buddy of mine said maybe the flywheel isn't right. So. The flywheel I have on there now is from a 2.8. The 3.1 that I swapped in my car was originally an auto. Is this the wrong flywheel? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope. Got the wrong wheel, there. Only a couple of years of the 2.8 were internally balanced (if any), and all 3.1's were. Get the right wheel and see what happens (or just remove the one you got and crank up a grinder to grind the balance weight off of the crank side).
