I'm having starting/charging issues so after my battery & alternator tested good I decided to swap out the ol' ground cable. Hit Autozone only to find thin cables with connectors that I couldn't fit my block bolt through. I asked the guy behind the counter and he looked at me funny saying his LT1 didn't have a block bolt or ground cable that big.
I said screw it and ordered one from RockAuto. It shipped fast, but now the problem is its the same skinny 4 ga cable that won't fit my bolt! Proper length though.

What's wrong with getting an amp install kit (for a BIG, BEEFY amp) that has a 0-gauge wire in it with terminals and using that? Sounds like someone upgraded your wire in the past or something, if the stock ones are 4-gauge.
However, I KNOW mine's at least 0-gauge, and so was the '95 LT1 I worked on a while back...

4 gauge should be fine unless you are doing some serious electrical stuff.
0 gauge is pretty excessive.
0/1 (or whatever its called thats bigger than 0) is un-necessary

I'm okay with it being 4 ga, but it would be nice if the block bolt fit the cable. Makes me wonder what the hell bolt I'm using.....

Ground cable connects to the block on the driver's side, near the bottom, just to the right (when facing it) of the timing chain cover, correct?
