What's this wire...

I noticed when looking at my battery today that on the negative terminal it has a smaller black wire coming from it. However mine is just dangling there can anyone tel me what this smaller wire is suppose to hook to? 92 RS 3.1

if its black coming from the negative its a ground. more than one ground is in that area so you need to supply a picture, or trace whats not working.

its a ground. everyone ive seen is tapped to a frame or something. no big deal
