a 10 minute intake set up how to
i have seen pictures of this on other cars so i thought i would share for some newbs.
1. pull intake off and pull air filters
2. their are 4 7mm bolts to loosen and 2 clips to get the air filter housing out.
- as for the clip just use pliers and take out the center, it will loosen the
whole thing enough to come out.
3. look down in the hole and there is a shroud in the way. 4 clips come out
like above
4. with a saw cut out the bottom of the air filter housing. just take out what
you need, the plastic is pretty brittle so a good sawz all will make life easy.

Some K&N filters will help open that up a little more. I did this to mine, and was surprised it made a big difference in throttle response.
Does anyone have dyno results after doing this? Only like a 2-5 hp difference, if that?

That worked well on my '85 Z28 also. Here is the setup I made for my RS. I used a 4" hole saw to cut a hole in the spot where the charcoal canister used to be. The filter mounts below that.
