Gotta problem with fuel rail.
I was going to put a fuel pressure regulator on and decided to check the injectors. All came out to about 12.6 ohms except one, the last one was reading 8.7 ohms. Musta been what was causing my miss at idle. Soooo, I had an extra fuel rail in the closet from another 3.1 and those injectors tested at 12.6 to 12.8. I put the new regulator on that rail and took the old rail out. THE only thing that is holding me back is that I can't for the life of me get the fuel line on. It's the one closest the firewall (feed line I think). I don't want to force it for fear of stripping it. I've try every angle to no avail. ANY thoughts on what to do? Easier to put the flare on the end of the line all the way in the fuel block or have it close to the nut?

It's easier to take a T20 torx bit and undo the 3 screws on the fuel block (where the fuel lines connect and the pressure test connector is) and swap the whole thing over. Had to do that when I was running my 2.8 fuel rail, as one of the lines, I think the return line, was stripped badly and was just barely holding pressure. Remove the screws, put the line back into the port, install the rail, and put the fuel block back on.
BTW, if you strip out one of the ports in the fuel block, I hope you have access to a machine shop because the fuel block was around $90 about five years ago...

Re: Gotta problem with fuel rail.
You nailed it on the head! I thought it would be easier to do that as well. So I did what ya said and got it all on and F*** a duck! I had someone turn the key and the #6 injector was leaking gas around it. I shoulda replaced all the o-rings before I installed it and that one was'nt the bad injector either! So I'm off to Advance to get an o-ring kit. Go figure, LOL!!!
p.s. Even though it did'nt leak around the fuel block, I'm gonna put some red rtv on that gasket just in case that wants to leak.

RTV is completely and utterly useless in gasoline environments. Gas eats it. Just an FYI.
