power issues

i've been kicking around the search feature and cannot find an answer to my problem so lets see if ya'll have heard of this one.

i have a 91 3.1l camaro rs with a gutted cat, a glass pack, new plugs/cap/rotor, new tps, cleaned throttle body, and an exhaust leak where the manifold meets the block on the #6 cylinder due to broken manifold bolts. 193000 miles on the odometer and as far as i know is completely stock.

now that you know about the car lets get on with my issue, on a cold start when i give it moderate throttle the engine seems to loose power and drop rpms a little. if i give it a little more gas the power loss isn't there. once the engine gets to operating temp and has been there for 5 minutes or so i don't have the power loss issue.
does this sound familiar to anyone?

how will the engine act if the o2 sensor is gummed up but not throwing a code?
are there any sensors that may cause my issues and how would i test them?

Re: power issues

An exhaust leak near the manifold will do that to you. I have the same problem.

Re: power issues

good to know. have you ever heard of thermosteel? i tried that on the top of the leak before i realized that it was leaking all the way around that cylinders exhaust port but i cured it too fast and it didn't take. i'd rather not mess with trying to get the manifold off to get the broken bolts out because its a pain. and if i try i know i'm going to snap all of the bolts because they're covered in heavy rust. if i ever need to get that manifold off i can just cut the thermosteel off with the dremel.
