Yeah, it's slightly different.
You won't find the tan/black or what ever color wire for the EST to disconnect. Instead you have to disconnect the 4 wire (IIRC) connector near the base of the distributor to disable the EST.
You should have an emissions label on the front of your engine bay that describes the procedure in detail. You're supposed to disconnect hoses etc. to eliminate the effect of the EGR and what not, but I haven't done all that when adjusting timing.
Don't really know how much it affects the adjustment, but my car has worked fine....
