Worth it?

Its been recommended to get one of these......but what about this one?

http://cgi.ebay.com/1990-CHEVROLET-C...item1c102fdc1c

Does it look legit? I offered the guy 35 for it, if it was in better shape I'd pay 50 but I'll have to wait and see what he says, but I want to know what you guys think too Thanks!

Re: Worth it?

Get it while the gettin's good! I don't know offhand what the 90 Camaro FSM looks like, but it looks like my 92 FSM in some ways. Being 2" thick, it's more than likely what you want.

Make sure that when you get it that you put some 2" tape on the covers and on the spine so that it doesn't fall apart. You'll probably be using it a lot, and this will help it to last. Some of the ones at the college were in such bad shape they had to put them in 3-ring binders.

Wow, alright thanks Maverick H1L, I can't wait for it to get here, now all I have to get is a volt meter and a better scan tool.

Plus I just found out tonight that I'm going back to work next Friday so I will have more money to work on the car.

But then again, I'll be losing time, not like I've had a lot anyway with all this bad weather.....

Re: Worth it?

When you go to get the meter and scan tool, look in the Sears Craftsman tool catalog. They have an AC/DC clamp meter (no more 10A DC current limit!) that does pretty much everything you will want it to for testing for about $60, as compared to a comparable Fluke for about $300 or so. Also, they have a CAN/OBDII in I scan tool that should work with GM cars back to '82 for about $280 or so. It doesn't have all of the functions that a SnapOn MODIS or SOLUS has, but then, do you really need a $3000 scanner for your own car?

Haha, hell no man, all this will be a good investment, and I don't plan to get rid of this car ANYTIME in the future, if it breaks its getting fixed like I've said before.

Re: Worth it?

Hey man nice find. . . How long you plan on keeping your ride? Reason why I ask is because you went out and got a dealers manual for it...I'm keeping my ride the rest of my life, so when you plan on selling your ride I got dibs on the manual LOL...
