2.8L Top End

I have a 1987 Camaro with a 2.8 mfi. I've read that the 3400 heads will fit without a problem onto it. How about 3400 heads from a 2002 Impala?

Welcome to the boards. Yes, the heads will bolt up. However, thats the easy part. You will have to change the intake, swap to DIS ignition, and change the pistons to keep your compression ratio in check. Unfortunately, its not an overly simple swap.

Re: 2.8L Top End

Yep, heads themselves bolt right up, along with intake, its everything else that isn't compatible :P Doesn't matter the year, if it's a 3400 FWD GM v6, it will work, same with 3100, and if its a post 2000 model year donor the 3100 will be the same size.
Just be prepared for a long hard road and don't expect it to be a quick ordeal, I've been working at it for like half a year, granted I'm being held back by money at this point and not knowledge.
