Engine lift

Where are good points to attach lift chains to the v6 engine? I am aware there are lifting eyes but for some reason they aren't anywhere to be found on my engine. I'm lifting the engine to replace the oil pan and oil pump so I just need to lift it a few inches to clear the cross member.

Re: Engine lift

The lifting brackets should be bolted to the rear of the pass side cylinder head, next to your transmission dipstick (assuming a 700R4), or just to the rear of the coil bracket, and the other is bolted to the engine just over the driver's side exhaust manifold, hiding behind the A/C compressor. If someone removed them, you'll want to remove the accessory brackets and bolt the lifting chain brackets to the cylinder heads.
