2.8L Wont start...No turn over
Hey everyone!
Well, after having my firebird jacked up and blocked for 4 months, I now have another issue. When I attempt to turn the ignition, there is no affirmative noise of the starter clicking or the engine turning over at all.
Battery was bought brand new fall of 2009 and has the charger hooked up to it right now. I have not done anything to the vehicle after it was put up on blocks except for start it here and there and let it run for about 5mins. However it has not been started in over 3months now, as I have a busy life and neglected my baby
... Is there any number of steps I can follow to narrow down the cause?
Please let me know if you guys needs more info!
You guys rock,
Jared

Check the battery voltage and the voltages at the starter on both the battery cable post and the purple wire (when held in the Start position) if the battery charger proves ineffective in getting things going. Also, check the "CRANK" fuse under the dash as this provides power to the starter solenoid in the starting circuit.
Inspect the car carefully for chewed wiring and corroded connections. Sitting for so long leaves the car and wiring open to a host of problems.

Mine was doing this exact same thing this morning. I'd been messing under tht dash trying in vain to get my gauge lights working.
Found a bunch of wires together that had been cut, then electrial taped back together.... I messed with them and the car started right up, gonna connect them the right way tomorrow. Previous owners how I hate you..
I'll post a pic of them tomorrow so you know what ones to look for.
