Help me replace my pulsator

I gotta replace my fuel pump pulsator. Its not hard to get to since its right undr the throttlebody. The only thing that kills me is that the aftermarket ones are threaded for the input and output and the stock oem is permanently connected to the fuel feed line. There are no threads to take the old one off and it seems you's have to get the whole line that goes from the fuel block to the rubbr fuel feed line. Question, if I got the right thread size, can I make a line using fuel injector hose with the right thread size going to the fuel block, pulsator and the rubber feed lines. I can't find anyone that can bend steel lines like the factory.

Re: Help me replace my pulsator

I don't care for rubber lines for high pressure fuel on the engine. I take it that the pulsator is leaking? It isn't really needed, although it does reduce the pump noise some.

Without looking at how the lines and such are run, just an idea. Remove the stock pulsator by cutting the lines, double flare the ends, and place a new piece of metal line in there.

If the lines are steel, which I believe they are, could use compression fittings. But my preference would be the double flares.

Yeah I haven't heard of one either...I'm guessing he means FPR or fuel pump relay, or It's just a part I haven't heard of.

As for my advice, just get a stock replacement, if no one sells them your best bet is to find a used one.

Re: Help me replace my pulsator

2.8 engines don't typically have one (not sure about the 88-89 ones, though). I still have my 2.8 fuel pressure line in the garage, but I'd rather just keep the pulsator thing on there. Actually, I think I tried to swap once and for some reason the 2.8 line didn't work...
