Are these the right injectors for the 3.1? if so, I'm interested. Can you overnight them?

 

They are to big for a stock 3.1, they ran my 3.4 before the turbo though

i have a set of stock 3.1 injectors in my parts car, as far as i know they are good

the 19lbs bosch IIIs would probably work but not well without a tune, they are way better than stock ones but might be a bit to large

 

Wish I knew how to tune. What's the stock flow rate for the 3.1, you know if it's different than the 2.8? What would you want for the stockers, if your willing to sell?

 

pretty sure 3.1s are 15lb, the 3.4 are 17lb, the 19lb ran great on the 3.4 with the 3.1 ecm so i guess techinically they would work it would just run rich

that depends on how soon you would want the stockers i probably cant get them out till this weekend

 

I'm lookin to get something fast, I need this car running. Do you think running the 19's would cause any driveability issues, power loss, or throw any codes? I've been searching but havn't found anyone whos put 19's in the 3.1 or 2.8..

They are in my shop right now but, I'll probably be going to Pills house this Saturday, if you can wait until then. Otherwise, I can take a very poor quality cell phone picture.

The Ford p/n is F73E-B5A. This is a (white) injector for the ford 2.5 v6 (170hp, non-svt) in the Contour and Mystique. If it's under 19lbs (yellow injector), good luck finding a true rating. The best I have found is it is a 14-17lb injector. I can not confirm the rating as 100% accurate though.

At the very least, they support a 170hp motor.

3.4 injectors on anything smaller than a 3.4 or a 3100 WILL make the engine run rich AND throw a code 45... Been there and done that. Just a heads-up. Stock 3.1 injectors are 15.4# and 2.8s got either 14.7# or the 3.1 injectors depending on the year.

well southbay sold them to me as new 19lb bosch III injectors so i assume thats what they are...however deadbird thinks they are diffrent by some research online, so i really dont know

3.4s used 18.4# injectors, almost close enough. I had a set of what I think was 19# injectors (whatever size they used on a 305 TPI) for exactly 3 days... The engine ran so rich the nice smooth exhaust note changed.

Too bad those couplers aren't a little bigger and red...

Oh, and how did you get the IAT to work with your intake piping (pm with pic or email)? I have an adaptor for mine that the IAT is just too big for the grommets and too small for just the hole. I'd take the blue adaptors, but I don't think they'd fit, for one, and blue doesn't go with a black and red color scheme (with chrome intake piping).

i bought a bung from diyautotune for the IAT and with the megasquirt wiring i moved it down to right on the otherside of the intercooler

nope it is a hard top...i do however have one extra passenger side top

 

Dangit... I was hoping it was a t-top because I need a center bar . Found out Saturday that mine is rusted to crap .

 

haha they seem to be doing that a lot... honestly had it been a t-top car i prob wouldve restored it

 

Like I'm doing . That bar was the only rust up there. Too bad it's just about the only place there is no rust .
