running rich

running rich

I have a 90 camaro with a 3.1 it will not stop running rich. the coolant temp sensor and oxygen sensor have been replaced and it is not setting a code. My question is what else helps determine the air to fuel ratio?

Update: it doesn't do it all the time just when it gets hot. when it hits 180 its like somone flips a switch. it starts spitting and sputtering, it also smokes black out the exhaust. Anybody have any ideas?

check your fuel pressure regulator and also check your vacuum lines.

whens the last time u changed the air filter? i would change it and do an idle relearn.
