Alternator overdrive pulley?

Im looking into an underdrive pulley for my 3.4L, but already at idle my alternator doesnt charge enough and my radio turns off (Apline radio, it could just be the radio, I really dont know.) Also I could probably turn the idle up since it idles at 650rpm but I dont really want to change that. I found of Summit there are two different 6rip overdrive pulley for alternators. Would using a 25% underdrive pulley on the crank and a 32% (thats what summit says in the description) overdrive pulley on my alternator hurt my alternator over time? Or is it even worth buying the alternator pulley? How many other guys are running underdrive pulleys? Can you feel the difference in the butt dyno?

Heres the link for the pulleys :

Re: Alternator overdrive pulley?

I'd just go for a higher amperage alternator if it was me, shouldn't be all that much money and it'd probably last longer.

Re: Alternator overdrive pulley?

I would buy a larger one but the one I have is only a couple months old and works great.

Re: Alternator overdrive pulley?

Actually, that the one I have. But I don't think I'm understood on my question, I only want to get the alternator overdrive so I can have the same about of charge I have now if I got an crank underdrive pulley.
