Hey, tom--
I was curoius as to what kind of set up you have on your bird. And also how was that 3:73 rear end swap? You have an auto dont you? DId you go from 2:73 to 3:73 or was it a different ratio. How much of noticable difference?

Car: 1986 Firebird
Engine: 2.8 V6
Transmission: 700R4
Yeah, I have an auto. I went from 3.42/open to 3.73/posi, and it was a huge difference. The car has much more "want" to accelerate on the highway... it's cool- it's like the faster I go, the car wants to go even faster!

I've done a bunch, but the major stuff can be seen in my e-mail signature, and here it is:

-Tom P

1986 Firebird SC: 2.8l v6, 2nd rebuilt 700r4, 3.73/posi/disc swap, Accel Supercoil/cap/rotor, MSD 8.5mm wires, Splitfire plugs, Summit gauges/remote trans filter, !TB, drilled 160 stat, ADS street chip, Cloyes roller timing chain, custom intake w/K&N, B&M Megashifter/Supercooler/Stage 2 Shift kit/Overdrive sleeve, Dynomax 2.5" hi-flow cat/super turbo, Energy Suspension bushings

Oh, take out the Accel supercoil, and insert the new MSD 6AL box and Blaster SS coil.
