Horn Not Working
Horn Not Working
My horn is not working at all. The previous owner had a problem with the factory alarm, but where do I look as far as where to reconnect the horn if it was disconnected?

open the cover of the steeringwheel carefully at the ends, bent the ends where the hornmarks are than check the small plastic connectorclips, they sometimes brake in parts if you hit your horn to hard. I had the same prop. but I started surching from the other end.

Well the horns (2, connected to each other, one=high freq, one=low freq) themselves are on the upper frame rail, on the driver side. They hang "inside" the fender. Look for a single green wire.
If the horns are connected to the wire, you could probably unhook the wire, and connect a test light (or voltage meter) between it and ground. Then you could hit the horn button and watch for a light (or meter swing) to make sure the horns are getting power.
I think the horn relay itself is in the courtesy center, that's located above the driver's feet. Remove the black "hush panel", and look up, past the passenger side of the column. There's a black rectangle there. You squeeze two "side clips" and pull down, the front swings down to reveal the stuff on top. Remember I said "I THINK" that the horn relay's in that spot!
Either that or the contacts for the horn button are dirty. Hell the horn button might be unplugged; it's one single wire under the button. If I remember right, the horn button just pops up with a screwdriver on a Firebird.
