an accel super coil, me and dad might do it today. But mounting is kinda the issue, the guys at teh shop said they'd have to put it into the motor, so they didn't put it on.

 

I mounted mine on the passenger side innner fender right in front of the air conditioner accumaltor you will notice how the inner fender is kind of flat there.

I made a bracket out of 1/8" steel for mine; I mounted it off the alternator side of the alternator-to-plenum support. It hung between the top bracket of the alternator and the throttle body.

I know what ya mean; it took me forever to find a spot! Who would've figured with all that room in the engine bay that there's no room for a coil?

Mine is on the fire wall towards the drivers side a bit. I only have it bolted at three points but its not going anywhere...
