Do they make them for 86 V6 Camaros too? How much was it?

Jason, I checked out that site (had to dig it up, it's http://www.slpeng.com ). They're now listing their "original" cold air intake as being compatible with v6's.
Funny, I emailed them on that a long time ago, asking them why it was "just for v8's", they said it wouldn't fit the v6, I said "why? it looks like it would", and never got a response back. I guess someone woke up over there, eh? Still at $200, I sure won't buy it. I'm happy with my home-made one

$200 eh? I've been messing with the thought for awhile, rather than a homeade ram air. Tom, have you had problems with the filter getting wet? If so, is that necessarily a problem? How oftehn do you need to clean the K&N?
Finally, obviously we have the same 2.8s. But is this kit routed different due to the low 'Bird hoodline? I know I know, stupid question. I'm assuming it'll work for a Camaro too??

Actually Jason, your ram air through the bumper should be much better than any of the Firebird stuff. Stock for Stock, the Camaro intake beats out a Firebird one.
I haven't checked my K&N for wetness, and haven't had to clean it yet... so I can't tell ya about those.
My filter is located under the "front" of the passenger fender, between the wheel and bumper. It nests directly above the lower front fender brace-- a piece of steel that looks like a "Y".
Here's the link to my K&N: http://store.summ itracing.com/part.asp?ssid=GIM8FLINV7NHQV88M7IKP7QQSN&orderid=RNNY2GCOUL42BSBY1OUJGIGJ8FOSLRKMKR88&part=A6ED2F07-3612-11D3-949D-080009FC5B5F
[edit] Oops, forgot- yeah the Firebird intake should wor... er, wait, it might not fit. Where's your battery? Firebirds have them on the driver's side... I've seen a few Camaros with them on the passenger side. The tubing's meant to follow the stock Firebird routing, so to use the system you'd have to relocate your battery to the other side. The frame is drilled on both sides for a battery, in fact, that little flap that catches the bottom front of the battery is there too.

For $200 they can forget it. If it was more along the lines of $100 I might, but my budget is kinda limited right now. As soon as I get time I'm gonna put together the homemade ram air. Can't wait for that!

Tom,
Relocate the battery, eh?? ARGH!!
Welp, can't do that. I just spent $50 on Monster Cable Powerflex 4 gague that is run so that it barely reaches my battery. There's no way to make it run to the battery on the other side. Plus, even if it was long enough, I'd have to tear 1/2 the interior apart to move the wire over!
I wanted to do the kit because I figured it'd be less work...with school and all I just don't have the time for custom work
But if the SLP setup would involve that much anyways, I'll leave the battery where it is and make my ram air. And as you said, it may even be better! Plus, then I can put those little WS6 "Ram Air" stickers on my air box

The dual cold air intake is designed for use on speed density TPI cars. It won't fit a MAF TPI, cuz of clearance between the TB and mouth of cold air box tube. However with a 2.8 MAF it might fit, since there would be much more space between the TB and the outlet (of cold air feed). Just something to think about.
