ATTN: all with an oil pressure GAUGE

ok, my gauge has never worked so i decided to fix it . i replaced the oil pressure sending unit and i replaced the connector because it was broken. well now it works but the pressure at idle is at 40 and when i'm on the gas it's at 70. is this normal or did i screw up????

Hmmm put a tranny cooler in.
Or if u wana just mess around lol dont actualy do this me and my frinds were talkin out of our asses and came up with a way to elimate a tranny.
Take the engine and make it so it fires backwards then what allengines do and hook a driveshaft i mean one so strong superman cant bend up to the crank and hook it to some stong gears in the back. So lets say your car idles at 750 rpm well we theorise your tires will also be doin 750 RPM and emigane how much power you would get when u floor it=) just an idea that one day when i have the cash might actualy try but i dono how the brakes would hold up i would be powerbraking at every stoplight

Isn't that like putting the tranny in 3rd gear (1:1 ratio)?

Oil's really thick when cold, so, yes, the pressure will be damn high. That's one of the reasons to not rev a cold engine; the sheer pressure will start blowing seals - and other things.

2500-2750 till she warms up - that is, till both the pressure gauge drops to normal, and the temp gauge moves up.
