Well, why not? If your clamps are easy to get off, it would take "maybe" 5 minutes. You won't get a miracle, but you can't expect one for 5 minutes worth!

The key word here is if the clamps are EASY to get off. Other wise, damn you will be there a while. The other day when I was trying it I got ONE clamp loose and slid it down. But that was only the start. After I got the clamp loose I pulled and pulled but do you think the hose came off?? HELL NO! So I tried to loosen the other clamp on the same hose. I could get it loose but I couldnt get it to move up the hose. So I ended up putting the other clamp back to where it belonged (which wasnt easy either) and gave up for the day. Ive got this understood if I can get the clamps off! The only ones that I cant get off is the ones on the left hose. The upper clamp on the left hose is facing toward the radiator hose and Im not sure how to get it off. I havent trued the lower one cause I figured it is pointless to try to get it loose if I dont know how to get the upper one loose. I plan on cutting the clamps off and cutting the hoses length wise and slide them off. Can someone tell me how to get the left upper clamp loose to where I can cut it? Thanks!

"Upper clamp on the left hose"? As in, the clamp's on the throttle body? Just leave it! Cut the old coolant-to-TB hoses in half. You're not going to hook anything up to the TB, anyway. Keep working at it!

Ok I got the tubes off but now I cant figure out how to make the hose go from one side of the pump thingie to the other. When I did it was such a turn that the hose made a V instead of a U almost. Im afraid that if I leave it like that that it will stop the coolant flow and burst the hose. WHAT DO I DO NOW!!!???

Ok nevermind. I FINALLY GOT IT DONE!!!!! Damn I am happy I finally got it done. Havent gotten a chance to take it out for a spin. Will do that tonight! I hope it was worth it. To answer my own question I ran the hose over the intake tube so it just loops over the tube. It looks pretty stock. So thanks alot guys you were so much help!!!

wow.. yeah those clamps do suck, there is a special pair of pliers tho for them, i just never saw paying 30 bux for a pair of channel locks ill use once or twice maybe cos every clamp like that i remove, i replace with the gear type.. as far as a gain, lets just say its noticable.. wish they'd make plenum spacers for our motor.. anyway i think this may be the 2nd or 3rd longest threed i remember.. the first definatly had to be the original weed-eater dekercharger :P

Thanks man! I appreciate all the help.

Today was much better. I had to stay late after school and my car sat in the lot all day. It was actually rather warm, maybe 65. And so when I left it felt stronger and damn when I power shifted into second I got a GOOD chirp. So I am happier now!
