Cold air intake, Exhaust, and maybe a chip. That should be enough if he had a manual.

------------------
1992 Camaro RS 3.1L
T5 Manual 5 speed
Open Air Intake
TB Coolant bypass
Z-28 Exhaust
8.5mm MSD Ignition wires

headers and full exhaust, intake,roller rockers,customchip,headwork,pulleys,throttle body,gears,shiftkit,ignition upgrade,cam,etc.

you'll need about 200 hp to hang with a 3.8, so with all those mods you might be right at that. OR spend 500 bucks on a nitrous kit

Depends on the old lady...my grandmother just got pulled over for 20 over in her '98 Acheiva 3.1. And no, it wasn't because she couldn't read her speedometer

3.1 Firebird and Brian K got it all covered.

Shoot yea. With old ladies its either go fast as hell and let everyone get out of your way, or its go slow as a civic and hit everyone in your way. ITS TRUE!

what better way to beat a 3800 then a turbo 3.8.. im sure you could find one in a boneyard pretty easy for about the same cost of all the listed mods...

oh yeah, if you get a turbo 3.8 from a Turbo T/A or so, it wouldn't be worth the race, do you know how bad of a spanking that 3.8 would get, heck, you'd be running LS1's off the road. Also, a 3.8L has 200hp, but i don't think you'll need a full 200hp to beat him, maybe a little less, just a little, because 3rdgens are more aerodynamic than 4th's and also, your car will weigh several hundred pounds less, you could probably pull it off with 185-190hp.

scoob,

If it was so easy to find a 3.8 Turbo, I'd have one!

I have seen one in the last 5 years. These engines were so rare to begin with, let alone finding a car in a boneyard that still has one. When was the last time you saw a GN or Regal T-type in a boneyard?

Even if you do find one, any junkyard is gonna know what they have...it won't be cheap

look for regals or wrecked GN's.. youll never find a TTA in a yard, but my local yard i hit up all the time had 2 regals and a smashed up GN minus the rear end.. did a little pricing, i was quoted 650+ core for the motor alone..
