I checked out Hooker Header's website (through holley.com ) and they didn't list that part #. However it could be a cancelled part #, just like the old Heddman Headers units.
I also heard rumors of there being 2.8 headers for the f-body in the PAW catalog a few years back, but they had no emissions fittings. Maybe these are the units?
What makes a header emissions legal? If there's no EGR mount or AIR fittings, I'm sure those could be welded on or tapped in.. and oxy sensor bungs can be welded on too.
At any rate, great find, Jim! Thanks! Hopefully someone on here gets 'em to try them out. If anyone's noticed, the seller has had some great reviews- don't click on the seller's name, click on the number in parenthesis next to it- nobody's been upset with a purchase from him, so he could be telling the truth.
A real pic would be nice though. Makes me wonder why he spent all that time putting up pics of v8 headers

Those bastards are MINE!!!!!!!! Hopefully I will be able to get those. That sounds awesome for my car. That is what I've been looking for to complete the exhaust, for the exception of a full stainless steel CAT back.
Awesome find bro

Anyone bought anything from ebay here? They have some tools by good names for cheap; but I wouldn't have the first idea how to pay (paypal I guess?) and what happens if the tool (or whatever) is absolute garbage when you get it?
Also what goes down between the seller & buyer? I suppose I give my address & phone, but anything more?

WEll it depends on the seller on what type of payment they accept so who knows. About a couple of years ago i use to buy so much stuf from Ebay but it lost it's luster and I think that I am getting interested in Ebay again. It depends how the seller handles the auction. They normally get all your info and then notify you when they shipped it and how and when it should arrive. I've had nothing buy good dealings w/ the people there.

Ebay rocks, I just got a dashpad through there. You set up payment with the person you're buying from. Never done paypal, but a lot of Ebayers seem to like it. I usuallky send M.O's. It's kind of a leap of faith on my part, but the seller has tosend me their address, so if they don't send the part, I know where to go collect, hehehe...

paypal is the only way ill go anymore.. i sold a radio on there once, shipped it COD.. boy did i get burnt.. the guy got it, dont know what happened then, but i got it back damaged and totally un usable.. the guy claimed it was broken when he got it.. it was totally repackaged and everything, didnt get one cent from it.. if you sell get your money first, then ship.. paypal seems to be the safest way, and since i use my visa, i can argue if what i get is junk..

hey guys i was thinking...
the 3.4L and 2.8L engines share the same heads and exhaust manifolds..there is NO reason that a 2.8L or 3.1L couldn't use the 3.4L headers. and i know of two companies that make headers for the 3.4L
RKSport, and Pacesetter Exhaust.
check them out and see if you are interested:
RKSport Coated headers - 499.99 www.rksport.com
Pacesetter Exhaust non-coated headers - 160.00
PE Coated headers - 350.00 (i think - give them a call or somethin) www.pacesetterexhaust.com
anyway, just a thot to those of you who want headers to use on your 2.8 or 3.1L car.

Are they the shorty style headers? Isn't that the type you need for a 3rd gen? That wouldn't be too bad. I was thinking about 3.4 headers, but I didn't konw if the mountings were the same....but I guess they are!

just post something to 3.1firebird, he's already put 3.4 headers on. I think the only problem he had was with the crossmember, and he had to bend some pipe. But it all bolted up right.
yes I have 3.4 pacesetters on my car. They bolt right up except they hit the cross member on the drivers side and hit the frame/wheelwell on the passenger side. I basically just had my grandpa put a torch on them until they were glowing pink, then I carefully bent the headers with a long breaker bar. Then I would do that a few times until they cleared everything. After I finally got everyhting to work I took the car open headered to the exhaust shop for a y-pipe to be made. The EGR and O2 fittings will work with our cars, you wont have your Air pump working though because there isnt a fitting for it. I think the headers knocked off .1-.2 tenths.
