What's the correct timing for a 3.1L stock?

What's the correct timing for a 3.1L stock?

I had it 10° in advance- it run bad, now I have 23° in advance and it's better.
shouldn't it be -10°???
please let me now guys if I'm wrong.

Yeah, it should be 10 deg advance. Did you disconnect the EST-bypass connector before you set the timing? If you did, maybe your balancer's mark is incorrect. Check out this message, I just wrote up how to check the balancer- and the guy already knew how. Oops.

the sticker on your hood should show the stock ignition timing.
