What makes this car sometimes "Smoke on startup" hot or cold?
What makes this car sometimes "Smoke on startup" hot or cold?
A "Greyish" smoke that smells like acrid hot exhaust, NOT Coolant. (Uts not white, its greyish. Sometimes "Puffy")
Sometimes i start it up and there is a literal "Puff" that floats away like a balloon, looks grey
ONCE it didnt smoke AT ALL, let the car sit about 12 hours or so, started it up.. smoked in the morning. Tends to do this.
Do i have a wonky sensor? Is it DUMPING fuel (means my fuel filter is ok?)
IS IT THE CARB can it do that!!?!?!????? (They say i have an "Automatic Choke and Carb but does it still get maligned?)
Im gonna cap off the emissions stuff since it sputters like i have no gas w that tape failing, but the next issue is "WTH is that little bit of SMOKE!"
Thanks 84 Camaro 2.8L V6

Its usually leaking valve stem seals that cause that.

Usually if its not too bad I'd live with it, until you have to go into the motor for something else...
