Anyone ever find headers for this car? I want to turbo it but can't find packages for less than $5,000; Just trying to find the next project for me :-) if you want pictures http://www.geocities.com/dwnshft4no1/ then go to CAMARO THANKS!

That is the nicest Sport Coupe I have seen in a LONG time...great color combo, and the engine is exactly how I would have done it, right down to the Hypertech chip!
Just wanted to let ya know, that car is awesome! Congrats on not throwing a small block in it, by the way

Definately a nice looking ride...for a camaro.
Did you do some higher ratio roller rockers while you were in there? Consider some 1.6:1's if you haven't.
3.1 Firebird made his own headers by ordering a set of Pacesetter 3.4 headers which bolt right on, and bending to fit the older chassis.
Next major mod? Boldly go where only one claims to have gone before: Supercharge. I'll be getting one at the end of the summer, but if someone else wants to be the prototype, have fun!

Thanks a lot guys! How much is a blower for the 2.8 and who makes it? I'm looking for options on what else I can do, but can't spend a huge amount. I would also like to try those headers and 1.6 roller rockers out as well. I'm also thinking that I could get more performance if I did all of these with a custom burned chip, but i'm going to wait until i figure out if i'm blowing or turbo'ing the car. Not sure how much horse I'm pushing yet either, some people say as low as 160, but stock i'm around 135, 25 horse just doesn't sound right for everything I've done. Thanks again! If anyone wants to e-mail me directly it's biggles8485@hotmail.com ADIOS!

Hehe...no one makes a blower for a 2.8!!! If you want one, you're gonna have to come up with your own idea. Reno plans to take a small block designed blower and custom fab it...thats about the only way.

Nice ride, Kyle! I think you should hunt down a 3.42 axle from the junkyards; if you find one with rear drums, it'll just bolt right in. You could even re-use your existing drum brakes; just switch them onto the junkyard axle.
I liked that spot where you listed the compression numbers! Mine are pretty close to that (208,000 miles later).
Those wheels are bad-*** ! Are those the American Racing AR-23's? I have the AR-46's, which are the same thing as the 23's, but in chrome steel. Hopefully I can make that change to the lighter aluminum ones next spring.
You might also want to try an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. It's been said that the v8 TPI units will work on the MPFI v6. I believe the cheaper AFPR's re-use the stock diaphragm; if you go that route you might want to try to hunt up a new one from a parts store.
Do the brass terminals on the end of your Accel plugs ever unscrew? Mine used to .. man what a pain. No matter how tight I'd screw them back on, they'd always work loose, and cause a misfire. I went back to Pep Boys, checked another box of plugs, and they had the same loose terminals.
Did you rebuild the motor yourself? It sounds like it... if so, dude, I'm going to have some major questions for you in the spring!

Yeah, I have actually noticed the little tips at the end working loose! Pisses me off, I'm thinking about switching to NGK's though. You were right about the rims as well, and I got them for sale from Pep Boys for $45 a piece. They're only 14's though. Don't have the money to bump up to a bigger/wheel tire yet. We did rebuild the motor but the car is an '84, the engine is an '85. The '84 carburated 2.8 sucked. The carb was a pain in the *** to work on, and we couldn't fuel inject it because the fuel pump was cast onto the side of the motor. We found a guy who sold us the '85 motor, radiator, and computer for $250.
