:) Oh yah

I just placed my order for my Dynomax Catback, and I ordered a throttle kickdown kit too to keep my throttle kickdown from engaging. Saturday I'm going to go get my Accell 8MM plug wires and my new 02 sensor. Also getting a cap and rotor, and thinking about getting a coil. But would the coil be worth it? ALSO, I'm about to order my computer chip from Jet performance, so...I should notice some HP difference by the time I'm done with everything. I'm also (know it doesn't affect my HP) going to get my brakes done and my tranny fluid changed tomorrow. Then my car goes in the paint shop the 18th. WOOHOO. I know this really doesn't probably need to be on the board, plus I had that coil ? anyways.

OH yah, hey Monkie...if you'd hurry up and get some pics of that air intake of yours, I might go ahead and mess with that. I just need some idea to know what the F*ck I'm doin. Anyone else with some detailed air intake pics would be appreciated too.

Sounds good dude! Although if you're going to change your trans fluid, you might want to wait until you get that 4-3 kickdown valve. You need to drop the trans pan to put it in.

As to the coil, I felt an improvment with a higher-voltage one. Jason E just put one in, too.

If you're going with Accel (as I did), get the Accel direct replacement coil for our cars...Auto Zone has it for like $50-55, or you can go with Summit for like $40 plus $6 shipping.

You won't notice much of a difference down low, but I did notice over 4000 RPM it felt stronger. On a cold night the night before I put my studded snows on, I launched at 2200 RPM (just as the RR tire was about to let go) and got rubber all the way through 5200 in 1st gear!! The only other time I did that was when I had all my other mods (but no coil), and I got to about 4300 or so...so IMO the coil does help. It isn't huge, but the feeling is there. It puts out a max of 48,000 volts, which is about 25% over stock. The way I see it, for $50 ANY improvement is worth the cash

BTW, if I was you I'd do the Accel 8.8MM wires...supposedly a good deal better than the Super Stock 8MM wires. And if you're gonna be doing all this, if you have the extra $25 grab AC Delco RapidFire plugs...after the cap/rotor/plugs/wires, the car felt noticeably better over the 25k old stuff with regular platinums!

Thanks TomP. I didn't know what all was included in putting the kickdown valve in. I'm kind of scared dropping my own tranny pan though because all i've ever messed with is standards. How hard is the thing to install? Or should I just pay someone to do it while getting my fluid changed?
