Cold/RAM air intake done

Tonight (about 3 mins ago) I finally got around to my cold air intake. I ran an aluminum tube pointing from the top of the air filter (pointing as much as I could to the opening to the stock intake tube) down to right beside my plastic scratch guard thing under the car. I dont know what its called. It was a pain mounting the tube to where it wouldnt move at all. God, I wouldnt want that thing comming loose and hitting my fan and belts . But I took it out for a spin (its around 30 degrees I would say) and when I hit the highway damn did it go! Man that by FAR is the best mod I have done. And some of you might worry about rain water getting in there but its going up so much I dont think the water could get up that far. So I just posted this to give some of you guys an idea. Try it, you will be happy!

Congrats on the mod! What kind of aluminum tube was it? Something from Home Depot?

Yea it was an aluminum 3" pipe for air conditioners from Home Depot. It took maybe 20 mins to do. VERY EASY!

I dont have a digital camera but my friend does. So HOPEFULLY I can get him to let me use it and take some picks of my baby. And I will be sure to take some of the intake. Its really simple to do and I think you do need to see it to kinda understand how it is set up. But before I take the pics MY CAR NEEDS A BATH! And its freakin 30 degrees outside! Hopefully this weekend.

Actually Monkie, it's a proven fact that birds detest shiny objects and **** on them to try to make them dull. So feel privelaged, you're car's shiny enough to **** off a bird.

There's some photo developing places that will develop your pics, and also put them on a CD ...

... maybe even a printing shop, or someplace like Staples (that has printing capabilities), would scan your photos in for cheap... oh and flatbed scanners are like $60 now

About the bird **** thing, I forgot where i read/saw that. It may have been on late night on the discovery channel or something. (Hey, it's either that or infomercials, and considering those products always make sense at 4:00 in the morning.....although that AbSlide thing really works). I may have read it in Zoology or something, if I remember I'll let ya know.

Haven't seen that one. They do have this one for stuff you pour in your laundry that supposedly gets out ANY stain. Then they made the comment that it's like supercharging your washing machine. So that started up a conversation among me and my friends that lasted hours (amazing what you'll do when drunk). We thought about how weird it'd be to see a N2O bottle on the top of a washing machine or dryer. Then when the conversation got sexual, we started making fun of the girls...but I'll leave that to your imagination...LOL
