Re: National third gen V6 Gathering

I would love to be a part of a space or field full of brother and sister third gens, come all that may. Being Crete, IL Memorial Day weekend, how bout a Las vegas gathering Labor Day? Cool desert night running... Once we all there, we can segregate v6's and 8's and this's and that's.. or not. but relish the common thread we all have and recognize the beauty in numbers. . . (there is not a NOS bottle next to me, lol)

I might be up for this in 2012...

I'm going to drive mine to bowling green, KY this year sometime so that will determine if i ever take it on any more road trips.

I took an Olds Calais on a roadtrip and that car also did not have cruise control, it was fine lol (1991)

Drove through: (Starting) Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, to Birmingham, AL. Dropped off passengers. Went back north, Tennessee, straight to Kentucky again then OHIO.. then west back to Indiana.

Id love to recreate that with my Camaro!!!!! I think it is up for it, too!

Re: National third gen V6 Gathering

yesterday at the NTTGA meeting we had two Fiero guys come out, and I floated the idea of a joint national conference. They seemed really interested in the idea, and agreed the two cars would be a natural fit for each other

Have you thought about Pigeon Forge ,TN ? We have car shows here starting in the spring and run till fall . The biggest ones are the Grand Rod Run and The Shades of the Past . During both of these I have seen many 3rd gens but not many v6s .

it's a little further east than I was shooting for, but it's not out of the question, especially if we have somebody local to scout locations and do let work for the event

Re: National third gen V6 Gathering

Yes we could . If you choose Pigeon Forge I can find out what we would need to do to have it here and how many were coming I could find out where we could have it . I know when the car shows are in they park up and down the Parkway next to the road in parking lots for people to cruise and look at the cars but if we only had x amount we could get together somewhere and then do a cruise .

if it was in piegon forge we could all cruise down to deals gap...that would be a SWEET trip for those of you that dont know it has 300+ curves on one mountain road that is 11 miles long. its a sport bike heaven and they have photographers on like 5 of the corners on the road shooting pics of anything that comes by all day every day

oh and that car museum near there is pretty sweet as well....theres on in sevierville

It would really depend on what time of year this is. St. Louis is 1012miles from me which is approx. 16hrs. If it's anytime around The Gathering in Atlanta then I wouldn't be able to make it.

Re: National third gen V6 Gathering

i may not be able to do it this year but i'd love to try next year. i am going through a sell out of my restaurant so i can buy into a new building. so my next few months are going to be hell. plus i hadn't got my car working yet. i am going to try a few things tonight if i can find the time.

i like the idea to goto piegon forge. especially if it is between may-august so my fiancee would be able to go with me. plus i'd want to have a year to play with my car to make sure there is no kinks i have to deal with while i start driving it. since once i get it running that would be the first time it ran in at least 2 years.

if it works out this year lets do it again next year and i'll try my damnedest to join all of you.

I'd certainly do it, especially if we get a bunch of guys up here and pick up more on the way, so it would be like a giant horde of camaros coming one direction.

I'd definitely be down for this next year. Car still isn't running, money isn't really there right now haha. The 3.4 swap is almost finished though, so it'd be fun =] I'm in NYC but I don't really mind the drive to many places as long as it's not longer than if I were to drive to Miami(which I'm doing in a week with my DD).

I'd be down to do this if my car was finished by next year. I'm planning on putting a 3x00 top end on the 3.1 hopefully this winter I'm moving to Arizona in a year so It would be a pretty fun road trip if this were to happen
