Re: Vacuum Hose Size
Really the only way to do vac hoses is to go to an advanced auto or autozone, and run back and forth a lot till you figure out all the pieces you need..or take all the pieces off, take them in, and cobble together something that works.

Re: Vacuum Hose Size
Project 3.4 is right on. The only sure way to get the sizes right is to have a good selection of sizes right there with you. Unless you have access to your own vacumm hose selection, you want to be at a store for this task. Also, the nylon tees like to break as you pull hoses apart. The auto parts store will have these as you need them. plus this way you only buy what you use versus buying a bulk of hose and using 1/4 of it. Note: unless you are familiar with your engine's vacumm hose routing and emissions system, remove and replace only one hose at a time.

Re: Vacuum Hose Size
Thanks for the responses.I was hoping I could do what I did with my 300z and buy 25 feet of .25 inch silicon and call it a day, but off to auto zone it is
Re: Vacuum Hose Size
going to change one of mine on my 92 RS. one is totally rotted, must be the one that works the climate control, sometimes I hear hissing sounds, and climate control does not change over A/C, HEAT, VENT ... etc... These hoses turn your fingers black, and oily, very messy. Before I go to Autozone, does anyone know what the hose size is? Is it standard? Its pretty long, runs from a t valve, down drivers side fender, to the vacuum pump, any info. greatly appreciated, THX...

Currently the only vacuum accessory I have left is the brake booster. But I dont have emissions where I am. Safe bet your hoses are shot, but another thing to look at is where the hoses connect to the back of the HVAC panel. I had a hissing coming from there once and all you really have to do is make sure the hoses are seated firmly.
