Ok guys I need your help. A few weeks ago, we installed pacesetter headers on my sons 91 coupe.. thats another story.. Well the issue we have is now only at certian times, when the car is around 200 degrees, the car backfires through the exhaust when you accellerates, stumbles, chugs and then shuts itself off! Yikes... Cant seem to figure out why.. it did it to me today while driving. Only mod is headers, car has no EGR valve or smog equipment. I pulled the plugs, they look clean. Injectors are about 6 months old, cap, rotor, wires, coil, all other sensors have been replaced within the last 6 months.. ideas?? I dont need him driving it and cutting off. Its a 5 speed if that makes any difference.

 

mine did that but it was my rotor. it cracked. now it runs like a champ
