I found it a while back doing a search on Thirdgens. I didn't really start coming to it a lot until August when my tranny blew and I needed help w/ that. I joined the board and I've been coming here for the last 5 months almost daily. Learned a lot and plan to learn a whole lot more!

I was lookin for the 0-60 time a long time ago for my V6 Firebird, then this site somehow came up. I bookmarked it, forgot about it, then one day when I was checking my bookmarks, I fell in love with this place and now I hit it daily!

I typed in something like "1986 2.8 v6 firebird performance parts" at yahoo, looked throught most of the listings, came across this, saw it had a specific v6 board, and that was that. I come here at least 4 times a day to see wht's up. I kept coming here, but never becoming a member. Finally after about a year of just looking, I signed up.

I'll see if I can save this post with something tech. My sister's 88 firebird has the dreaded headlight problem. The motors do work because my grandfather, who is an electician, wired it up somehow off of the battery. We think that there is no wiring harness! The car has been wrecked and a new nose put on. I think the wires were sacrificed. Anybody have any suggestions and where can she pick up a harness?

Mine did that where they would quit working but the motor was good. Its like a $15 relay that you can get at autozone. It looks like any other relay( a rectangular box) with a plug in the bottom. Should be up near the head lights. I gurantee thats the problem. If the wires were sac. the light would have never worked. If this is the case them maybe they were.

I used to be a regular over at V6 f-body.com on their 3rd gen board. Tom posted something one day about this board, I came over, and the rest is history

I feel bad though because I never check over there anymore! I barely have time to keep up with this board!

WHen I bought my IROC last month, I went to a bunch of IROC and Camaro sites. Most didn't have much traffic and others didn't seem interested in anything outher than 4th gens. Eventually, some e-mailed me and told me to give up and come here.

This is now my only source for f-body information. This is an excellent web site.

When I first got my bird two and a half years ago, I worked in a computer lab 30 hours a week, and noone ever came in.

I found lots of personal sites, and then finally found one with a link to thirdgen.org.

I'm in Kyle F's boat for that one though. It was one big board, tech, non-tech, TPI's ripping on TBI's, 350's ripping on 305's, and everyone shredding the V6's. You couldn't ask a V6 question without 2 or 3 responses telling you to get an 8. It was still cool though. This is much better, though.

i don't remember the one big board thingie, and i think i registered before Kyle did. Anyway, i think i was on a yahoo search engine, and typed in 1985 pontiac firebird, i got a lot of crap about firebirds and stuff, and this site too. This is where i found my home, and this is where i'm gonna stay.

It all began a long time ago.. I once thought v6fbody.com was the greatest. I particpated all the time, I told everyone about it. Then one day and over the weeks it members became A#$holes towards all those thirdgen and so on.. Then that board got a thirdgen section and by that time I was here and felt that site lacked so much I would never go back so hear I am thanks to webcrawler.....
