Alternator

My alternator just went out on my 92 bird with the 3.1. It is the newer small style alternator. I want to upgrade to one with more power. I know that the 350 Iroc had a 105 amp model available. Does anybody know of a more powerful factory one? How much power does mine make now? Thanks

if you have the smaller sized alternator, you are pushing 105.

Where did you get the 140 amp alternator. If from autozone, what kind of car was it out of?

So the smaller "new" alternators are also 105 amp? Cool, I didn't know that. (I have the older "large" 105 amp one.) I do know that from 82-84 the small alternator did 67 amps...
