Good buy on a 3.4?
Good buy on a 3.4?
I've found two 3.4's from a boneyard that are a prospective buy. One is $1600 with only 300mi. on it
the other is $1100 with 17K on it.
. In all honesty, I could probably afford the $1600 one, and it's loaded, so I could take off what I don't need and turn around and sell it, right? I just don't know what to do.... if you were 17 and only made $150 a week (I'm borrowing money from my dad and have to pay him back), which would you go with?

Contemplating a 2.8->3.4 swap.....

The cheaper one. 17000 miles is not that much and that leaves you with $500 not to have to pay back or to invest in mods.
Just my opinion, but I would borrow the $1600 buy talk the guy down to $1000 for the cheaper one than spent the $600 on mods for the car.

Hehehehehehehe.. I like Kyle's way of thinking
600 for mods can go quite a way.. well.. not really.. but a cam and MSD 6AL controller+coil, accel wires, splitfires, and you'll prolly have leftovers to dump in your checking acct for gas for a month.. 'course the cost of dropping it in could be a little higher than I'm estimating. If nothing else, still the cheaper one.. do try talking him to 1k.. if you'll be paying cash, it talks very persuasivly.. it'll take less time to pay your dad back and start modding it.
