You can scan and save to floppy, zip, or cd. You can also e-mail then as attachments. Use .jpg for the format it has better compression and make a file about 10 times smaller than a bitmap ( .bmp )

If you buy a scanner, I tend to like the USB ones better. If you have a printer and try to use a parallel scanner with it some printers won't work ( they won't share the port ) so just add USB ports if you don't have them, it's about as hard as changing a ignition module.

lol, I like how you simplified it into car terms. Actually tho, it's easier than that. It's about the equivalent of plugging in a new prom.

Stock timing runs from 4 to 10 TDC.
Usually use your ear & wrench & a hill for testing.
Listen for ping, back down slightly.
If ya get alot of ping, increase air into air cleaner, by RAMMING IT IN.
Not an open air cleaner. Open cleaners only get hot engine compartment air, not truly helpful for your mission.
Buy a scanner, to.
Can save "pic" on any "disc" format your computer already has.
My iMAC ahs USB ports, so I added.
I also only have a CD, on this computer. I added another computer (network system) & hard drive re-writeable disc for storage.
Lots of work, but, I got a great computer system, now.

OH YES, I"VE SEEN "My Cousin Vinny".
I'm glad my Wife is like Marissa Tomei, she drives a 1968 Camaro! But, I won't let her touch my 1974 Corvette ever again, tho.

Now, your question never said a "Stock" 1957 Chevy with a 327.
Incidentially, 327 appeared FIRST in the 1962 MODEL YEAR, which was first introduced to the general public late summer of 1961.

I've know alot of 1957's w/327's under the hood, in my lifetime.
I remember, one specifically, smoking from the rear wheel wells, coming up the slight incline in front of my Junior High School in 1970. And it was a 4 door! It was great to grow up in the 60's & 70's!
