troublesome intake valve/rocker

Adjusting my valve lash and for some reason #5 intake valve wants to be too tight to be tight enough, all the others adjusted just fine, but #5 intake the nut is noticeably lower, and it actually made the engine not turn over, but I tightened it using the proper method which is what I don't get.....I also managed to bend the pushrod slightly when trying to turn the engine over by hand, any reason to suspect I killed the lifter or should that be fine? And ofc wth is this valve being so stubborn, I can't see any logical reason for it...other than a toasted cam lobe, but if that were the case I don't think it would encounter resistance like that when over tightened. Need some advice...
