I Kept Pace With a Mustang GT!!!!

Yes, that's right...I didn't beat him, but I did match him.

The scene was beautiful...this mid '90s Stang GT with Flo's pulls up next to me at a light, cranking his cheap stereo, so I figure what the hell, I'm bored and I need a good time. The light turns green, and he launches pretty good, and I launched just enough to not spin the tires. By 20MPH or so he realizes I'm ahead, and he nails it. So did I. Through 65 I was keeping pace perfectly, and as we slowed for the next light, I smiled at him, rolled down my window and screamed "That all that thing's got???" He looked embarrassed and drove off.

To make the humiliation all the worse, this wasn't the Camaro...it was the Grand Am

Moral of the story: I kept up with a hopped up GT with a FWD Pontiac, bone stock. I have 155hp in 2,900lbs. V6 fbodies weigh in around 3150 or so. Get your cars up to a solid 175hp, and you too can have some SERIOUS fun

Long live the 60 degree MPFI V6

I am laughing so hard right now. What really got me was when you said "...this wasn't the Camaro...it was the Grand Am." Whew, gotta catch my breath. Aww man.

That was the beauty of it...this thing ain't no muscle car, but it IS quick

Picture a dark green, lowered Stang GT with a Flowmaster, pillar gagues and a Saleen wing on it, pulling up next to this red 2 door Grand Am SE (not even a GT!!) that's bone stock appearing (and in reality is bone stock). Then picture the jackass in the Grand Am being able to keep up gear for gear through 65 MPH...I am proud to have been the jackass to take on a GT in a Grand Am

The irony of it still has me laughing my a*s off!!!! My entire car probably isn't worth the mods this idiot had done to his car!!! The look on this poor guys face was something I will never forget.
