Those little injector clip thingies

I sent the injectors from my '88 2.8 in to be cleaned. In the process of taking them out, I bent and broke a couple of those round locking clips that hold the injector to the fuel rail. Are they available from my local parts store, or do I need to order them somewhere?

I know theres an injector kit you can get from parts stores, it has o-rings caps and stuff like that it might have the clips you need.

Go to a Pick Your Part and get them for free.
I'm sure the dealer has them, too.
How many do ya need?

Thanks. Yeah, I was thinking about trying the dealership too. I'll probably need the seals anyway, so I'll check into the kit. Last time I was at the Pick 'n' Pull, there were no injected 2.8 Camaros. I'm sure the clips would be the same for most injected GM's though. I probably need all 6. I broke 1 and the bent ones probably will break when I try to bend them back.

I have spares from my swap. You need seals, go to the dealer, get the complete kit. Lube seals before you insert into manifold.
You didn't use a small flat blade screwdriver to remove?

CSUS, where did you send them? To Rich Jensen (at http://www.cruzinperformance.com ) ? He includes new seals, pre-installed, for free on the injectors he cleans. Maybe he has some spare locking rings he could sell you, too?

Thanks CamaroLT, I'll get in touch with you if I can't find them locally. Haven't had time to look yet.

TomP, yeah, I sent them to Rich. I'll email him about it.

Thanks all,
Brandon

The guy that's cleaning should easily have what you need.
He's the best, quickest source for your need.
I have mine left over, too. Have himlube the O-rings for you & put them inside a baggie.
I have the left over 2.8 injectors, incase I get brave/stupid/win lottery and want to put a 2.8 system in my S10 Blazer!
When you install these into the fuel rail, be firm with them. I had a hard time getting the #1 injector into the manifold. I just kept slowly working it, so all injectors, into manifold were same level (you'll understand when you get to that point). Then I chinched down the fuel rail.
Remember you are dealing with aluminum, easily stripped (unlike women ).
Remember, MAKE SURE THE FUEL RAIL IS 1,000% CLEAN INSIDE. Use lots of compressed air to make sure of this detail. Wipe outside with brake cleaner & a rag, that's all ya need.
Sounds like you're getting closer, EXCELLENT!
