Need an Answer!
OK my car is starting to die again!
I think that it might be the battery/alternator, giving the car enough juice. If I am at a stop and have the subs going, sometimes it will just bounce the idle and then die!
It also does the same thing w/o the subs going. So i dont know what to think, please someone help me!!

Its just a guess...but it depends how you hooked up the amp for the subs. Because if it is on a circut that is on when the car is on it still will drain your battery. Mine is set up to when the sterio is on the amp comes on. Thats about all i know. My car did the same thing and I never got a good answer from anyone...so i just bought a better alternator and a new battery.
I noticed your car is just like mine with the same mods ...only that you have a catback...im planning to do the catback too. I was wondering do you have any times or stats for your car.Like 0-60 Or RWHP
thanks

When the engine is running disconnect the battery (Negtive lead) If your car is giving you problems its most likey the alternator. With large electrial needs I would use an 140 AMP alternator.
Jiffy, sorry I dont have any stats. When the nearest 1/8 mile is like 75 miles away, and when you are 16, you dont get there! And I have no clue where the nearest 1/4 is.
Someday I will take it or I might G-Tech it sometime.
I might do that battery thing.

Go to an autoparts store and ask them to test your charging system (many places will do it for free)(AutoZone). They may not be able to do it if your battery is too low (you could ask them if they can charge it). They should be able to tell you what's wrong.
I'm guessing its a problem with the alternator, or the battery, (or both), or (less likely) the wiring (which you should be able to check). Your charging system (in good condition) should be able to handle a Kicker IX702.
If they tell you that you need a new alternator, get a brand new Delco alternator ... not a rebuilt one. It'll cost more but will be much more reliable. With an aftermarket stereo system, the last thing you need is a weak alternator. I bought a rebuilt alternator because I didn't have much cash and regret it because it's had to be replaced a couple times (luckily under warrenty). I talked to a guy who used to work for Delco and he insists that the new units have extremely high quality control, but that the rebuilt ones don't come close.
If you need a battery and want the best for your system then get an Optima Yellow Top. They're a little too pricey for my budget so I use a Sears Diehard. They've always treated me good with warrenty issues and I have't paid full price for a Diehard for many years.
Good luck ... I hope some of this may be helpful.
