Bosch +4's causing power loss¿
Bosch +4's causing power loss¿
This past weekend i did i routine oil change and swapped my regular Bosch Platinums for some Platinum +4's($6 apiece, kinda pricey), noticeable power gain in acceleration, anyways my problem is ever since i changed the plugs my car kinda lags and hesitates when i hold it at 1500-2000 RPM's(cruising RPM range) i dont know how the plugs could be causing it, i put all the plug wires back on right and double checked, does anybody know what could be cuasing this(TomP, Ovrclk...?) It gets kinda embarrassing when your cruisin with your girlfriend or your friends and your car starts buckin.

bad plug or one that has a very high resistance compared to the others which will cause arcing to happen in the cap when it is to fire that cylinder because electric behaves like other things, it will take the path of least resistance that will complete a circut(positive to a ground). Or you migh have a cracked one from rough shipping and such. I would take the plugs out one by one and inspect them if no noticible problems replace with a $.99 champion plug and got through each cylinder and see which plug is bad.
Or you migh have th worng gap on them.
These are just my ideas, don't take them as the gospel

HAHAHA Bosch +4's - Plugs are like fishing lures, designed to attract the customer, not accomplish their goal better.
ANYWAY, did you make sure to gap your plugs before you put them in? The quality control at plug plants are not good (once got a plug without threads!). You might have got a plug with a cracked insulator. There can be a number of things.

Your problem is hard to find.
I can only suggest to pull a plug wire at a time. But, you're saying that it happens at certain speeds, rpm.
Open the hood at night time, no lights.
If you see lightening storm, you found problem. Your plug wires are arching.
I've kinda sworn off fancy plugs, now. No reallimprovement for the investment.
Higher output ignition systems are worth the effort, tho.
